Tamim Iqbal is a Bangladeshi cricketer. He is a left-handed opening batsman. Hailing from a cricketing family, Tamim Iqbal made his debut in the Bangladesh jersey in February 2007 in an ODI against Zimbabwe. The country’s best opener Tamim Iqbal is Bangladesh’s highest run scorer in ODI cricket.

Tamim owns more than 14,000 runs in international cricket across three formats. Tamim became the talk of world cricket by scoring back-to-back centuries at Lord’s and Manchester during the 2010 tour of England. He became the first Bangladeshi cricketer to win Wisden Almanac’s Cricketer of the Year in 2011 due to his great performance in England tour.
